Guidelines, Terms and Conditions

 

Some guidelines to make the most of our call:

Empathic Coaching and Sounding Board Sessions are conducted by Google Meet, phone, Skype, or Zoom by arrangement. I will open the Google Meeting or call you at the confirmed appointment time.

Bookings can be made via my scheduling system Calendly, you can schedule an appointment for the date and time of your choice. A calendar invitation with Google Meet link will be sent to the email entered so please ensure the email entered is linked with your calendar.

  • Please find a quiet, private and interruption free space for the call.
  • Check the browser you use is compatible with Google meet ahead of time. Google Chrome is recommended for all of the features. You could install the Google Meet app if you prefer to use your phone or tablet.
  • Have your computer/device charged and headset ready.
  • Have whatever you need to be comfortable and hydrated ready.
  • The call link will be in the calendar invitation sent from calendly.

The format – what you can expect:

  • We’ll start with a short check in from both of us with what is alive right now.
  • We’ll agree to a plan for the call
  • We’ll hold space for you to share and explore what is alive for you.
  • Ideally focusing on one topic at a time which could mean we cover just one topic during each session.
  • Requests, next steps, scheduling
  • A check out from both of us.

What you can expect from me:

  • As these sessions are based on Nonviolent Communication I will be present with you, listen attentively and empathically.
  • I will offer reflections of what I’m hearing and guesses of what is important to you in terms of feelings and needs.
  • Occasionally I might interrupt you, this could be among other things, to maintain focus on the primary topic or if I hear a limiting assumption we could address in the moment.
  • I may ask you if you have a request or idea coming up based on what you’ve shared and what needs are alive.
  • I may use some humour along the way.
  • My main aim is to support you in your connection with yourself.
 
 

Payments / Cancellations

 

Payments

Prices are $87 AUD per hour/session or $231 AUD for 3 sessions when paid for together in advance of the first session.

Payments must be made in full at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. I accept major credit cards via the third-party payment processor, PayPal. https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/MelKnudsen

You are also subject to other terms and conditions according to PayPal. (Please contact PayPal for further information on their system polices and customer payment support problems.)

Invoices can be provided on request.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Your scheduled consultation time has been reserved exclusively for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, please provide 24 or more hours notice. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours and missed appointments with no notice will not be refunded.

I require a minimum 24 hours advanced notice to cancel appointment for a refund (minus transaction fees if any are charged to us by PayPal and other costs where applicable). Scheduled consultation times are reserved exclusively for the person making the appointment, unless otherwise previously agreed upon by Empathy Catalyst. I cannot provide refunds for missed sessions due to client scheduling errors, malfunctioning customer phones / hardware or equipment issues on the client end, non-acceptance of Google Meet contact (when required for session), and other situations considered unreasonable beyond Empathy Catalyst’s control. I make every attempt to contact you at all numbers provided and I will always do my best to help you find the most convenient day and time for your appointment, it is your responsibility to be aware of your agreed session time.

I am not a licensed psychologist or specialist healthcare professional. My services do not replace the care of psychologists or other healthcare professionals.

Please note that I can’t take any responsibility for the results of your actions, and any harm or damage you suffer as a result of the use, or non-use of the information available on this website, social media channels or during our sessions. Please use judgment and conduct due diligence before taking any action or implementing any plan or practice suggested or recommended on this website, social media channels or during our sessions.

Please note that I don’t make any guarantees about the results of the information applied on this website, social media channels or during our sessions. I offer support and share educational and informational resources that are intended to help you succeed in your relationships and life. You nevertheless need to know that your ultimate success or failure will be the result of your own efforts, your particular situation, and innumerable other circumstances beyond my knowledge and control.

If there is any confusion or if you have questions, please let me know during the session and I will take the time to clarify. If you are unhappy with the session in general, and if you make that clear to me during a session, I will be happy to end the session and refund the unused time on a pro-rated basis. If you are unhappy with the session in general, but do not communicate this with me until after a session, a refund will not be provided. My goal for these sessions is to support you and enrich your life by the services that I offer. No refunds are provided for sessions that have already taken place.
